Ryan E. Moore, M.D., Ph.D.Ryan E. Moore, MD, PhD

Board-certified orthopedic surgeon Ryan Moore, MD, specializes in minimally invasive knee and hip replacement surgery, reconstruction and the treatment of osteoarthritis. He is highly regarded by his peers and is a welcome addition to the Coon Joint Replacement Institute. His expertise includes robotic-assisted partial knee replacement and partial and total knee and hip replacement.

Dr. Moore focuses on minimally invasive joint replacement surgery, using the latest state-of-the-art technologies including computer-assisted navigation and robotic-assisted partial knee replacement. Dr. Moore uses surgical techniques that reduce pain, restore mobility and promote a quick return to normal activities for patients suffering from osteoarthritis and other conditions.

Dr. Moore received a combined degree from the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia, a medical degree and a PhD in cell & molecular biology. He completed his orthopedic surgery residency at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania. The Rothman Institute at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital in Philadelphia is where Dr. Moore completed his first fellowship. Under the direction of Dr. Thomas Coon and Dr. John Diana, Dr. Moore completed his second fellowship in minimally invasive knee and hip surgery.

A devoted family man, Dr. Moore lives in St. Helena with his wife and three small children. He enjoys many hobbies, including weight training, distance running, classical music, Alpine skiing, hiking and backpacking, cooking and collecting wine.
